The partners of the Agriculture Water Quality Alliance (AWQA) honored Ian Teresi and Tim Chiala of George Chiala Farms for exceptional water quality protection and community leadership. Ian and Tim have long implemented water quality practices, and they continually strive for ways to both reduce agricultural runoff and filter excess storm water.

AWQA cited a number of ways Ian and Tim have improved water quality and conservation: 1.) Through implementing grassed ditches, 2.) Through creating buffer strips, 3.) Through implementing water recycling programs, and 4.) Through the practice of regular water monitoring programs at different locations on the farm.

Ian and Tim's conscientious, proactive work is a wonderful reflection on George Chiala Farms and the company's core belief in environmental stewardship.
